The shop's motto is "send us a picture, we LOVE to see what you’re working on." We make sure that one of us has knit with every category of yarn we carry. We know our products and we know our customers. An online shopping cart is coming this fall. Happy stitching!

6. Tall Grass Farm Alpacas
125 Christian Lane
Whately, MA 01373
413-665-6622
www.tallgrassfarm.biz

Please join us on Sunday, September 18th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to meet the alpacas and learn why they are considered one of the world's finest and most luxurious natural fibered animals. Alpacas are one of Mother Nature’s favorite farm animals, being sensitive to their environment in every respect. Soft as cashmere, warmer, lighter, and stronger than wool, their fiber comes in more colors than any other fiber producing animal. Alpaca clothing is extremely healthy and comfortable to wear. The absence of lanolin and other oils in the fleece and its extraordinary fineness of handle mean that alpaca garments are both hypoallergenic and luxuriously soft on your skin.

At our farm store, we sell our 100% alpaca, natural colored, mill spun yarns by the skein or cone. We also offer this cashmere like fleece, once reserved for Incan royalty, to spinners and weavers around the world. There is nothing softer or more comfortable than an alpaca sweater when it’s cold, nothing warmer than a pair of alpaca socks, or cozier than an alpaca throw. When the chill of winter hits the air, turn down your thermostat, get into something alpaca and enjoy! Our store is a great place to purchase that perfect made-from-alpaca gift for the people you love in your life. Also, sold exclusively at Tall Grass Farm, are award winning, one of a kind, needle felted dolls created by Marion.

We hope you can stop by to meet these amazing creatures and to check out our wonderful products!

DIRECTIONS
We are conveniently located off I-91 in Whately, Massachusetts. Take exit 24, then South on Routes 5 & 10. At the blinking yellow light turn left onto Christian Lane. Tall Grass Farm is located 7/10th of a mile on the left at 125 Christian Lane, Whately MA.
